The CRM is a spreadsheet, invoices live in the accountant’s tool, the team lives in the terminal? cashwerk brings customers, projects, time and invoices into one system – reachable via REST API, webhooks, MCP server and n8n.

In short
cashwerk is the business platform for software teams, SaaS companies and IT service providers that don’t want their back office spread across five tools: CRM with pipeline, client projects, time tracking and GoBD-compliant invoices in one data model. Everything your team does in the UI is also reachable through the API, by webhook, from your AI client via MCP or from n8n. EU hosting, GDPR, GoBD – and 1 user free forever.
From the deal to the booked invoice – one system, with an endpoint at every step.
Contacts, companies and deals on a board with stages, value and probability.
The won deal becomes a client project with a kanban board and a team.
A timer per task, flagged billable, with an hourly rate per service.
From time or line items: GoBD-compliant, as an e-invoice, as a recurring invoice for subscriptions.
Invoices go to Lexware or sevDesk; your accountant gets clean documents.
Every step is an endpoint, a webhook event or a tool for your AI client.
The typical problems in your field – and how cashwerk solves them.
The CRM is a spreadsheet nobody maintains – and the pipeline lives in Slack threads
Deals on a board with stages, value and owners. Every change can fire a webhook.
Invoices are created in the accountant’s tool, subscriptions are re-issued by hand
Invoices from a project or line items, recurring invoices for repeating services, e-invoicing on the Business plan.
Five tools, five logins and a Zapier construct that breaks at night
One data model behind the REST API, webhooks and the n8n node – all generated from the OpenAPI specification.
The team wants to query business data in its AI client, not dig through exports
Your workspace is an MCP server: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code read and write with your permissions.
The functions that matter in your day-to-day.
API keys per workspace, documented via Swagger, rate limits per plan. Included in every plan.
Outbound events from a catalogue that is checked against the code. From the Starter plan.
Your company as a toolbox for any MCP-capable AI client, listed in the Claude connector directory.
The community node on npm is generated from the same specification as the API – no custom code.
GoBD-compliant, PDF/A, e-invoices as XRechnung or ZUGFeRD, recurring invoices for subscriptions.
Viewer, editor, manager as presets; the same permissions apply in the app, via API and over MCP.
The external REST API lives under /api/v1. API keys and OAuth2 clients belong to the workspace, scopes limit every access, and the documentation is generated straight from the OpenAPI specification.
You’ll find the documentation at /docs/api. There are no SDKs or sandbox workspaces yet – the API is deliberately lean and typed.
Learn moreEnter one URL in your AI client, sign in via OAuth – done. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code query your customers, deals, projects and invoices and create what you ask for.
MCP server and n8n node are generated from the same OpenAPI specification as the REST API. Change an endpoint and all three change.
Learn moreInvoices come from the project, from tracked hours or from line items with margin. Subscriptions become recurring invoices, milestones become an invoice chain, changes become a change order – and everything ends up in Lexware or sevDesk.
The usual construct of single tools – and what of it collapses into cashwerk.
One system, one login, one data model. 1 user free forever, then from 14 € per user and month on the Starter plan.
Pipeline, project cockpit and dashboard – the same data your API returns.

Trusted by leading companies

Not yet. There is the documented REST API with API keys and OAuth2, webhooks, the MCP server and the n8n node on npm – all generated from the same OpenAPI specification. A public developer portal with guides, sandbox workspaces and SDKs are on the list but are not part of the product today. For testing, use a free workspace.
Nothing extra. API keys are available in every plan; the number of requests per minute depends on your plan: 10 on the free plan, 100 on Starter, 1000 on Business. Webhooks are available from the Starter plan, your own OAuth2 clients on the Enterprise plan.
Enter the MCP server URL in your client and sign in via OAuth. The client then works with exactly your user’s permissions – reading without confirmation, creating and changing only with approval. You can revoke the connection at any time in the settings.
Yes. A recurring invoice defines rhythm, line items and recipient once and generates the invoices automatically – booked and sent from your own mailbox if you like. For long projects there are progress invoices as a chain up to the final invoice.
Through the hand-off to Lexware or sevDesk on the Business plan, where invoices and customers arrive structured. The DATEV posting batch exports from the Starter plan. Every invoice is also stored as PDF/A in Drive and can be exported as CSV.
No. Every area works on its own; a team can start with CRM, projects and time tracking and add invoicing later. All areas are included in every plan – the differences are limits and extras such as e-invoicing or forms.
