Your company as an MCP server
AI assistants write good text but do not know your customers, projects and open invoices. Through the MCP server they get access to them, with your sign-in and your limits.
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard: an AI client asks a server which tools exist and calls them. cashwerk provides these tools from its OpenAPI specification, the same source as the REST API and the n8n node. There is no hand-maintained list that goes stale.
The connection starts with a sign-in. You enter the server URL in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code, sign in to cashwerk and allow access. From then on the assistant works as you: it sees what your role sees and can create what your role may create. You revoke access at any time in the settings.
The MCP server is included in every plan. It is bounded only by the rate limits of your plan, the same as for the REST API. For clients without OAuth the API key remains as the route. Anyone building their own apps for third parties gets OAuth clients on the Enterprise plan.
