Time is a chain, not a timesheet
An hour in cashwerk has a project, a task, a category and a rate. That is why it can become a working-time account, project cost and an invoice.
You track the way it suits you: timer in the widget, start and stop on the phone, manual entries for forgotten time, breaks as entries of their own. Every entry is attached to a project and task, carries a category and knows whether it is billable. Location on the phone is an option you enable per person, not a default.
The work-time model turns entries into an account: target hours per day, overtime as a balance, absences and public holidays taken into account. Salary periods and hourly rates apply from a date, surcharges are added. So every project knows its cost and its margin before the invoice is written.
Only hours that are billable and not yet invoiced go onto the invoice. The billing tab on the project shows them, one click turns them into line items, the lock prevents an hour from appearing twice. Reports exist per person, project and period, as PDF and CSV on the Starter plan. What the recording obligation requires is explained on the guide page.
