Why sending comes from your own mailbox
An invoice arriving from an unfamiliar sender ends up in spam or is not matched. That is why cashwerk sends from the mailbox your client already knows.
The connection to Gmail and Microsoft 365 runs on OAuth: you sign in with the provider and grant permission to send, cashwerk never sees your password. You revoke access at the provider whenever you like. For mailboxes without OAuth you enter SMTP details. Both ways are included from the Starter plan.
Sending happens from the document: quote, invoice, credit note, pre-due reminder, dunning letter. The PDF is attached automatically, invoices on the Business plan as XRechnung or ZUGFeRD if needed. Anyone on the team with several mailboxes picks the right one when sending. When which email went out is recorded in the document history.
Templates per document type and text blocks make sure every email sounds the same without anyone rewriting it. Placeholders fill in client name, number, amount and due date from the document. Casper can suggest an email text; nothing is sent until you confirm it.
